"A SOUND MIND IN A SOUND BODY"

OUR HISTORY & FUTURE
The River City Turners Society was established in 1984 and is a nonprofit organization chartered by the State of Kentucky and is part of the Central States District which includes: Kentucky, Indiana, and Ohio. The society is part of the National American Turners Organization.

Turners was established in the United States over 150 years ago to support physical and mental education. American Turners was founded in 1848 by Ludwig Jahn. American Turners establishments served as meeting places where new German immigrants could carry on their traditions of healthy living and cultural exchange. The American Turners were leaders in the fight to make Physical Education classes mandatory in public schools. Since 1848, American Turners has maintained a goal to create strong minds and strong bodies and as an American Turners establishment, River City Turners strives daily to uphold this goal.

River City Turners Gymnastics provides a positive learning environment for each individual’s needs and abilities through self-paced learning of physical and social skills. We pride ourselves on small class sizes led by knowledgeable and personable staff members.
